Set a duration and the mix fades out at the end rather than stopping dead. The story has its own separate timer, so the voice can stop while the ambient bed keeps going.
Four frequency progressions — Deep Sleep at 2.5 Hz delta, Sleep at 5 Hz theta, Relax at 10 Hz alpha and Focus at 16 Hz beta — each running underneath the mix with its own blend level. Headphones required, as binaural beats need a different tone in each ear.
